Phlebotomy Technician

Structure and Schedule:

Participants are hired as GW Health employees and receive on-the-job training during their regular work schedule.

 

  • Up to 40 hours per week; days and times may vary depending on the needs of the department

 

  • Online certification training modules via MedCerts

 

  • All hours are paid

Program Length

4 Months

 

Pay Rate During Training: $17.50/Hour

Completion

Program completers will receive a certificate showing achievement of the required knowledge and skills to be a Phlebotomy Technician.

Credential Eligibility

Program completers will be eligible to sit for the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) exam to earn a Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification.
