Certifiying Bodies, Examinations, and Requirements

The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is the most widely recognized certifying agency for radiologic technologist certifications. The ARRT offers a variety of primary, or entry-level, certifications, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging, Nuclear Medicine Technology, Radiation Therapy, Radiography, Sonography, and Vascular Sonography. American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Primary Certifications Exam

Possession of an associate’s degree or higher.
Completion of an ARRT-approved educational program in the same discipline as the certification.
Completion of the ARRT ethics review pre-application.
Pay $225 application fee.
Maintain certification with 24 hours of continuing education every two years.
